Community & Economic Empowerment Outreach
The Legacy Network Foundation’s Community & Economic Empowerment Outreach Program is dedicated to fostering financial independence, entrepreneurship, and sustainable community growth.
Through strategic partnerships, financial literacy training, and small-business support, we equip individuals and communities with the tools they need to achieve economic stability and long-term success.
This program includes:
Financial Literacy & Wealth-Building Education – Workshops on budgeting, credit management, saving strategies, and investing.
Entrepreneurship & Small Business Support – Resources, mentorship, recognition, and funding opportunities for aspiring and emerging business owners.
50 Under Fifty: Mississippi’s Top Urban Elite Professionals – Our signature recognition and community impact initiative celebrating Black excellence across the state while creating pathways for leadership, scholarship support, networking, and economic empowerment. This platform uplifts professionals, promotes community investment, and supports youth programming through sponsorship and philanthropic giving.
Job Readiness & Workforce Development – Career coaching, skills training, resume support, and employment assistance.
Community Revitalization Initiatives – Programs that strengthen local economies through business development, civic engagement, and social impact projects.
Collaborative Community Food Drives – Partnerships with local businesses, churches, schools, and civic organizations to host food drives and distribute essential items to families facing food insecurity.

Mentorship & Youth Outreach Progams
The Legacy Network Foundation’s Mentorship & Youth Outreach Programs are designed to equip individuals and families with the skills, guidance, and opportunities needed to achieve long-term success. Offered year-round and available by request to schools, organizations, youth centers, and community groups, these programs provide strategic mentorship, apprenticeships, leadership development, and professional training.
We connect aspiring leaders with experienced professionals who offer career coaching, industry insight, and ongoing support to help participants reach their educational, personal, and workforce goals.
Program Components Include:
EmpowerU Initiative – EMPOWERU is The Legacy Network Foundation’s youth development initiative that empowers youth ages 8–18 through mentorship, leadership training, life skills, and community engagement.
UNFOLLOW – An EMPOWERU extension for youth ages 8–15, focused on social media safety and personal protection. The program includes a digital safety workshop led by Jeffery Turner, LMSW, CMHT, and a self-defense class led by Jarrett Becks of No Limit Combatives, designed to build confidence, awareness, and resilience. UNFOLLOW is designed to uplift underserved youth with tools, resources, and leadership development needed to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Youth EmpowerU Community Leadership Ambassador Program – A peer-led, culturally responsive leadership model where students ages 13–18 are trained as community ambassadors, advocates, and emerging leaders.
Capacity-Building Workshops – Support for youth and families on key wellness and development topics such as nutrition, emotional wellness, access to healthcare, and family financial literacy, including budgeting, saving, responsible spending, credit education, and building generational stability.
School & Community-Based Engagement – Partnerships with schools, churches, and civic organizations to deliver programming where youth and families already gather.
One-on-One & Group Mentorship – Personalized guidance from accomplished professionals and community mentors.
Career Readiness Workshops – Resume building, Professional Headshots, interview preparation, workforce etiquette, and leadership development.
Apprenticeships & Internships – Hands-on experience opportunities that help bridge the gap between education and employment.
Networking & Leadership Development – Access to industry leaders, career panels, and professional networking opportunities.

Health & Wellness
The Legacy Network Foundation’s Health & Wellness Program is dedicated to promoting self-care, personal safety, and overall well-being. Through a holistic approach, we empower individuals with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to maintain physical, mental, and emotional health while also equipping them with self-defense techniques to enhance personal security and confidence.

STEAM, Arts & Literacy
The Legacy Network Foundation’s STEAM, Arts & Literacy Program is designed to inspire creativity, innovation, self-expression, and lifelong learning through dynamic initiatives that blend Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) with literacy development. By integrating hands-on exploration with reading and communication skills, we empower individuals to strengthen critical thinking, cultural awareness, and academic success.
This program offers:
STEAM Enrichment Activities – Interactive learning experiences that introduce youth to science, technology, engineering, and math through engaging projects and experiments.
Creative Arts Workshops – Hands-on opportunities in visual arts, music, theater, dance, and creative design.
